Introduction - Ayurvedic Tours in South India
Ayurveda is probably the biggest gift that India has endowed upon the world. It is the oldest branch of medicine that originated in ancient India and spread itself till present and will continue to future. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that comes from two words 'Ayur', which means life and 'Veda' meaning science. In south India one can easily find the rejuvenation by this method. The South Indian Destination are famous for its variation in Ayurvedic methods.

Day 01: ARRIVE MUMBAI
Gateway of India, MumbaiUpon arrival at Chhattrapati Shivaji International airport, meet & greet by our representative and get transfer to the hotel.

Mumbai, which was previously known as Bombay is a major metropolitan city of India and the state capital of Maharashtra. Mumbai city is known as the business capital of India, it being the country's principal financial and communications centre. The city has the largest and the busiest port handling India's foreign trade and a major International airport. India's largest Stock Exchange which ranks as the third largest in the world is situated in Mumbai. Here, trading of stocks is carried out in billions of rupees everyday. Description about Mumbai cannot be complete without the mention of Bollywood, the biggest Indian film industry which churns out hundreds of Hindi block-busters every year. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: MUMBAI
After breakfast at hotel proceed to visit Elephant caves
The Elephanta Caves is located on island hills about 11 km north-east of the Apollo Bandar, Mumbai and 7 km from the shore of the mainland, which is popularly known as ‘Gharapuri’. At present, the statue of elephant is housed at Jijamata Garden in Mumbai. There are seven cave excavations in the Elephanta group and these are datable from circa 6th – 7th centuries A.D. and the Cave 1 is the most impressive which represents the evolved Brahmanical rock-cut architecture. The cave is also famous for the exquisite and vibrant sculptures. Afternoon visit Gateway of India (Mumbai’s most famous Monument), Dhobi Ghats, Hanging Gardens and Juhu Beach. Return to hotel after sightseeing. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: MUMBAI – CHENNAI (By Flight)
After breakfast at hotel get transfer to the airport to board your flight for Chennai and upon arrival meet to our representative and get transfer to the hotel.
Chennai is also called as the 'Gateway to South India'. The city been blessed with the wealth of arts and literature. It is famous for its various cultural events, showcasing the performing arts such as Dance, Music and Drama at its best. Tamil literature is very rich in content and preaches ancient morals and values. Chennai is also popular for the glitz and glamour of Kollywood, the 'Tamil film industry’.
Later proceed for the city tour of Chennai and visit Amir Mahal, Anna Zoological Park, Fort Museum, Snake Park, Fruit Market and Marina Beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: CHENNAI – KANCHIPURAM – CHENNAI (75 KMS & 01 HRS APPROX PER WAY)
After breakfast at hotel proceed for the excursion trip to Kanchipuram.
Kanchipuram is known as the city of thousand temples, it is one of the seven most sacred Hindu pilgrimage centers. The highlights are the 108 Shiva temples, 18 Vaishnava Temples and Adi Shankararchya's Ashram. This small town is also famous for its thriving handloom and cotton industry and silk weavers known for their skills in producing best silk sarees in the entire country. Later drive back to Chennai. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: CHENNAI - MAHABALIPURAM (58 KMS & 01 HRS APPROX)

Later you will visit the famous tourist spots of Mahabalipuram such as Shore Temple, Varah Cave and Arjuna's Penance. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: MAHABALIPURAM
After breakfast at hotel full day free for leisure activities on the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07: MAHABALIPURAM – THANJAVUR (300 KMS & 06 HRS APPROX)
After breakfast at hotel drive to Tanjavur and upon arrival check –in to the hotel.
Thanjavur is the Rice Bowl of state Tamil Nadu.The city of temple Thanjavur was the cultural capital of the country in 1790. Thanjavur gained prominence during the period of Chola Kings, who made it as their capital.  Thereafter, it was ruled by Nayaks  and Maratta Kings, who nurtured art and culture.  The cultural architecture and the scholarly pursuits of these rulers are reflected in the great monuments like Grand Anaicut, Big Temple and Serfoji Mahal Library.  
Later in afternoon proceed for the city tour visiting the various tourist spots of Tanjavur such as Archeological Museum, Brihadeshwara Temple, and Tanjavur Paintings. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08: THANJAVUR - SWAMIMALAI (35 KMS & 01 HRS APPROX)

Today after breakfast at hotel drive to Swamimalai and upon arrival check – in to the hotel. Rest of the day free to relax yourself and explore Swamimalai.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09 : SWAMIMALAI (AYURVEDIC TREATMENT)
After breakfast at hotel day free for Yoga and Ayurveda activities Next four days will be spent in taking Ayurvedic treatments at the spa in Swamimalai. This will make you completely refreshed and rejuvenated, and you will feel a new persona inside you. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: SWAMIMALAI (AYURVEDIC TREATMENT)
After breakfast at hotel full day free for Yoga and Ayurveda activities under the supervision of expert instructor.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11:  SWAMIMALAI   (AYURVEDIC  TREATMENT)
After breakfast at hotel full day free for Yoga and Ayurveda activities under the supervision of expert instructor.

Day 12:  SWAMIMALAI  (AYURVEDIC   TREATMENT)
After breakfast at hotel full day free for Yoga and Ayurveda activities under the supervision of expert instructor.

Day 14: SWAMIMALI – TRICHY (75 KMS & 02 HRS APPROX)
Today you will be driven to Trichy, upon arrival check – in to the hotel.

Trichy is a fine blend of tradition and modernity built around the Rock Fort. Apart from the Fort, there are several Churches, Colleges and Missions dating back to the 1760s. The town and its fort, now in Trichy were built by the Nayaks of Madurai. This city has given great Tamil scholars whose contributions to the Tamil literature have been very significant.

In the afternoon, you will be visiting the various tourist spots of Trichy such as Rock cut temple, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Sri Jambukeshwara Temple and St' John's Church.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15: TRICHY – CHENNAI (300 KMS & 06 HRS APPROX)
After breakfast, you will get transfer to the airport to board your flight for Chennai. Upon arrival in Chennai board your international flight towards your own destination.
