Day 01: Arrive Chennai
Kathkali Dance, ChennaiUpon arrival at Chennai airport meet to our representative & transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Chennai: Chennai, (formerly Madras) the first city of Tamil Nadu, is a comparatively new city and the present gateway to the South of India is itself however only about 350 years old.. Particularly charming features of Chennai are its allegiance to ancient traditions, no matter how modernized it has become, and its willingness to spread out further rather than develop into a multi-storey concrete jungle. The result is a widespread city still open to skies; a green, airy city with several vestiges of its rural past; a city that adheres to the leisurely tempo of life of a world of yesterday; a city whose values of another day still survive midst of the humdrum bustle of today; a city that still retains the charm, culture and courtesies of the ages.

Day 02 : Chennai
Morning Breakfast at hotel proceed for the half day city tour of Chennai. Visit the museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery (Closed on Fridays and Public holidays). Drive through the flowers and fruit market, High court, Fort museum, Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral and Snake Park. Afternoon free to explore the city on your own. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03 : Chennai / Mahabalipuram (58 Kms & 02 Hrs Approx)
Morning after breakfast at hotel drive to Mahabalipuram, upon arrival check into hotel.   Afternoon visit the city including the places like Thirukadalmallai, Shore Temple, Pancha Pandava Rathas etc. The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the seven pagodas. Here on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock hewn temples which are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture.
Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04 : Mahabalipuram / Pondicherry (144 Kms & 04 Hrs Approx)
Morning after breakfast at hotel drive to Pondicherry,  upon arrival check into hotel.  Evening visit the city.
The capital of French India before independence, Pondicherry traces its origin to Saint Agasthya, the revered sage of the south & excavation near by reveal that a Roman settlement existed here 2000 years ago. It was the theatre of many a battle between the British.

Day 05 : Pondicherry / Tanjore (185 Kms & 05 Hrs Approx)
Morning after breakfast at hotel drive to Tanjore, upon arrival at Thanjore check into hotel. Evening visit the city.
Thanjore - The beautiful Chola temple of Brihadeeshwara is capped by a monolithic cupola made of a single granite block weighting 80 tons which was taken to the top with the help of a 6 km long ramp, bronzes and handicrafts make Tanjore one of the highlights of a visit to south India.

Day 06 : Tanjore / Madurai (175 Kms & 05 Hrs Approx)
Morning after Breakfast at hotel drive to Madurai,  upon arrival at Madurai check into hotel. Afternoon Visit the great Meenakshi temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams (rising high above the surrounding country side). Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07: Madurai – Full Day Excursion To RameshwaramMadurai Temple
Morning Breakfast at hotel.Later proceed for the excursion to Rameshwaram.
The island of Rameshwaram spreads out over a 56 km swell with gentle sand dunes, embellished with the delicacy of casuarinas trees and stark palms. This is a sacred place for Hindus since according to Ramayana; this is where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to absolve himself of the sin of killing Ravana. A dip into the sacred waters of the Agnitheertham which was calmed by Rama is a must for Hindus. Later Back to Madurai.  Overnight stay at hotel.   

Day 08 : Madurai / Kanyakumari (235 Kms & 6.5 Hrs Approx)
Morning after Breakfast at hotel drive to Kanyakumari,upon arrival check into hotel.
Kanyakumari is the land’s end of India where the water of the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bangal and The Indian Ocean meet. An important pilgrim centre of India, it is famous for the Amman temple – a symbol of unity and sanctity – dedicated to the virgin goddess, Kanyakumari. Visit the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a blend of all the architectural style of India.
Evening visit the city .Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 09 : Kanyakumari / Kovalam (90 Kms & 02 Hrs Approx) - By Surface
Morning after Breakfast at hotel drive to Kovalam, upon arrival at Kovalam check into hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy on beach on your own.
Kovalam is one of the most beautiful beaches of the world. The surf here is ideal for surf-riding and the water invites the visitor to ride the Catamaran or Log, with the fisherman, or to take a cool swim. Nearby is the beach centre of aquatic sports. At the yoga and health centre, Yoga classes and transcendental meditation are held. Ayurvedic oil massages and oil bath are given by experts.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10: Kovalam / Alleppey (180 Kms & 06 Hrs Approx)
Morning after Breakfast at hotel drive to Alleppey,upon arrival at Alleppey check into Houseboat.
The coastal town of Alleppey on the Arabian Sea is the Venice of the east, for the numerous canals that meander through the town. Bathing in the backwaters on the Vemband Lake is refreshing. This town holds a thrilling event of snake-boat race every year in August. It is also known for its cashew nuts, coir trade, rice pepper crops & coconuts.
Overnight stay at houseboat.

Day 11: Alleppey / Periyar (164 Kms & 4.5 Hrs Approx)
Backwater, AlleppeyMorning after Breakfast at houseboat drive to Periyar,  upon arrival at Periyar check into hotel.  Enjoy boat ride at Periyar Lake & visit wildlife sanctuary. 
The earliest sanctuary to be set up in 1934, it extends to 777 sqaure kms & forms part of the high mountain ranges, the Western Ghats. Wild life can be seen while cruising on Periyar Lake in a motor boat. Amongst the animals which can be seen are elephants, wild boar, sambar, tiger, Leopard, wild dog, langur monkeys etc.

Day 12 : Periyar / Cochin (195 Kms & 4.5 Hrs Approx)
Morning after Breakfast at hotel drive to Cochin,upon arrival at Cochin check into hotel.  Overnight stay at hotel.
Cochin which is also called Kochhi a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as 'God's Own Country'. Its strategic importance over the centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian Sea. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala.From time immemorial, the Arabs, British, Chinese, Dutch, and Portuguese have left indelible marks on the history and development of Cochin. Over the years, Cochin has emerged as the commercial and industrial capital of Kerala and is perhaps the second most important city on the west coast of India (after Mumbai/Bombay). Cochin is proud of its world class port and international airport that link it to many major cities worldwide.
Cochin is the arguably the ideal starting point for exploring the unfathomable diversity and beauty of Kerala, rated in the top three tourist destinations by the World Travel & Tourism Council and featured in National Geographic Traveler's '50 greatest places of a lifetime'.

Day 13 : Cochin
Morning breakfast at hotel,later half day city tour of Cochin.
Cochin is the natural created by the famed underwater Malabar mud-banks whose quality ensures that the rougher the seas are outside, calmer the waters are within the Harbour. Vasco-de-Gama placed it on the world map. It has a Jewish synagogue, Portuguese churches, mosques and Hindu temples. Watch the Chinese Fishing Nets.
Afternoon free to explore the city on your own. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14: Cochin / Ooty (210 Kms & 06 Hrs Approx)
Morning after breakfast at hotel drive to Ooty, upon arrival at Ooty check into hotel. 
Ooty also known as Udagamandalam is the "Queen of hill stations" and the capital of Nilgiris district. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Nilgiris means "Blue Mountains". It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level, and was popular summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 15 : Ooty
Morning breakfast at hotel. Later full day free to explore the city on your own.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 16 : Ooty / Mysore (160 Kms & 04 Hrs Approx)
Morning after Breakfast at hotel drive to Mysore, upon arrival at Mysore check into hotel.
Afternoon city tour of Mysore.  Visit the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12. The palace is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent. Visit the Art Gallery; drive put Charmed hill to see Chamundeshwari temple and a panoramic view of Mysore.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 17 : Mysore / Hassan (120 Kms & 3.5 Hrs Approx)Mysore Palace, Mysore
Morning after Breakfast at hotel drive to Hassan enroute visit Srvanabelagola. 
Sravanabelagola - The word Sravanabelagola means, `The Monk on Top of the Hill’. A small pilgrimage town with a population of approximately 3,500 this is the most important Jain pilgrimage centres in India and the site of a huge 117 Meter high statue of Lord Bahubali and is said to be the world's tallest Monolithic statue.
Upon arrival at Hassan check into hotel.
Hassan, the headquarters of Hassan district is a pleasant, busy little town in Karnataka. The town named after the presiding deity, goddess 'Hasanamba' was founded in the 11th century by Channa Krishnappa Naik. Located on the National Highway, linking Mangalore and Bangalore, Hassan is the most convenient base and the nearest railhead to explore Belur, Halebid and Sravanabelagola, the tourist centers of great antiquity. Apart from being a center of transport and commerce, the district is also known for its salubrious climate. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 18 : Hassan / Bangalore (187 Kms & 4.5 Hrs Approx)
Morning Breakfast at hotel. Later visit Belur & Halaebid.
Channekeshvar Temple at Belur and Hoysaleswara Temple at Halebid are one of the exuberating examples of the most artistic periods of Hindu Cultural Development in South India. Quoting the Lonely Planet: "The sculptural decorations on the superb temples even rivals the temples of Khajuraho and Konark or the best of European Gothic art".  
Later drive to Bangalore, upon arrival at Bangalore check into hotel.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 19 : Depart Bangalore
Morning Breakfast at hotel. Later half day city tour of Bangalore.
Bangalore which is also called the Garden city is major metropolitan city of India.Visit the Lal Bagh with a variety of old trees, fountains, lotus pools, terraces & an assortment of tropical and sub-tropical herbs. Also see the Maharaja’s Palace & Government Buildings. Later you will get in time transfer to the International airport to board your flight for your own destination.
